Summer Music Program 2026
The Upper East Side Music Summer Camp is a daytime summer program for children focused on high-quality music education, creative movement, and ensemble-based learning in a nurturing, structured environment. Operating out of a new commercial space on the Upper East Side, the camp will serve families seeking an enriching, arts-forward summer experience for their children. Enroll for one week or design your own summer—choose the weeks that work best for your family. Each week is thoughtfully structured so campers can jump in at any point while still enjoying a complete musical experience.
Ages 4-14 - 9am-3pm
Extended Hours are available to register after main registration:
Early Morning 8am-9am
Late Pick Up: 3pm-5pm
EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: $200 off if registered and
paid in full before March 31st!
MULTI-WEEK DISCOUNT: $100 off per additional week if registering for more than 1 week after the first full week paid
Week 1: July 6th-July 10th, 2026:
Rock 'n' Roll
This week will focus on the genre of Rock 'n' Roll and will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 3: July 20th-July 24th, 2026:
Musical Theater/Broadway
This week will focus on the genre of Musical Theater/Broadway music and will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 5: August 3rd-August 7th, 2026:
Jazz
This week will focus on the genre of Jazz, learning about Jazz legends, Afro-Latin Jazz, Blues and will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 7: August 17th-August 21st, 2026:
Film Music
This week will focus on the genre of Film Music and more. It will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 9: August 31st-September 4th, 2026:
Pop Music
This week will focus on the genre of Pop Music and more. It will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 2: July 13th-July 17th, 2026:
Orchestral Music
This week will focus on the genre of Orchestral music and will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 4: July 27th-July 31st, 2026:
Opera
This week will focus on the genre of Opera. English Opera, Zarzuela, Italian Opera, Romantic and will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 6: August 10th-August 14th, 2026:
Composers & Creators
This week will focus on the genre of composers and creators: Mozart, Beethoven, Price, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Bernstein, and more and will encompass:Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
Week 8: August 24th-August 28th, 2026:
Folk Music
This week will focus on the genre of Folk Music and more. It will encompass: Group movement class, group piano class, music education & musicianship, music history & guided listening, daily John Jay park recess, Camp traditions and ensemble activities and weekly performance or sharing.
